Mike Stevens – Commercial Director
Mike joined Sport Works in the summer of 2019 having spent his career working primarily within professional sports, including commercial roles with both Leicester Tigers and London Welsh Rugby clubs. Mike has also worked at seven Olympic Games with international sponsors to deliver their hospitality and ticketing programmes.
Mike is tasked with growing Sport Works’ partnerships throughout England as part of our 2019-22 growth strategy, which will result in Sport Works tripling the number of communities and people we support each year. Mike is passionate about providing sporting opportunities for all members of society. Mike is a keen golfer and follower of the English Cricket team.
Ernest Ako – Head Coach
Ernest joined Sport Works in 2019 as Head Coach for the London region. His role is to ensure the smooth running of our projects throughout the Capital and support the national Sport Works network.
Ernest joins Sport Works with over 10 years of experience in sport delivery and coach education while working in the USA. He also has a strong background in logistical and project management. Ernest graduated from the University of Bedfordshire with a BSc. in Sports Therapy.
Ernest ticked off one of his sporting ‘bucket list’ items in 2019 by attending the Super Bowl in Atlanta.
Mary Mooney – Administration Support
Mary has over 30 years of experience working in both commercial and charitable organisations as an Executive Assistant / Project Coordinator. In her role with Sport Works, Mary provides administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team.
Mary graduated from the Open University in 2011 with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Business Studies with French and holds the LCCI Diploma for Private and Executive Secretaries.
