Sport Works are proud to be part of the Sport Gives Back Awards, a brand-new initiative, celebrating the amazing work of varying charities, organisations and individuals who make it possible, through sport, to change lives.

The first Sport Gives Back Awards is taking place on Thursday 5th March 2020, at the Royal Institution in London.  The primary purpose of the Awards is to shine a light on the vital work of sporting charities and organisations up and down the country, who are successfully delivering solutions at all levels.

Sport Gives Back is backed by a glittering array of sporting legends who will be in attendance on the evening, including Lord Coe, Dame Kelly Holmes, Dion Dublin, Daley Thompson CBE, Crista Cullen MBE, Jason Robinson OBE, and Lee Dixon.

On the evening, each of the ten organisations will present an award to recognise an individual or group within their community who most impressively use sport to deliver positive outcomes for young people and society.

We will be using the evening to present our first Community Initiative of the Year award to one of our regional partners who has gone above and beyond in their commitment to the young people they have worked with.

The full list of organisations taking part on the night is:

  • Active Communities Network
  • Dame Kelly Holmes Trust
  • Greenhouse Sports
  • The Lord’s Taverners
  • Saracens Sport Foundation
  • Samson Centre for MS
  • Sported
  • Sport Works
  • Yorke Dance Project
  • Youth Sport Trust

Moving away from the traditional black-tie dinner, the Awards will be a vibrant, auditorium located, 90-minute show, punctuated by the inspiring, funny and moving journeys of success, told by sporting heroes live on stage.
