Welcome to Sport Works’ monthly newsletter, letting you know what’s been happening in our training programmes across the North East.
In recent weeks we have really stepped up our ESF NEET campaign in the Developed area (Tyne and Wear and Northumberland) due to a surplus of funding we have available in the area. We have been reaching out to several schools, colleges and community groups within the region to see how we can support those aged 15-24 and either NEET/Pre-NEET back into Education or Employment by developing core skills and opening new doors.
We are working with Whitley Bay Sixth Form where we are hosting a taster session with their students in a bid to identify those who may benefit from some additional support from ourselves. We are also continuing our very successful work with Northumberland College, where we have began another ESF Pre-NEET project at their unique Kirkley Hall Campus.

We are super proud to announce the official launch of our Alternative Education! Since we are based within the region with the highest exclusion rates, and given the success of our other projects, it made complete sense for us to offer Alternative Education services to those who need it most.
